 After weeks of leaked reports and teasers, the latest devices in the Redmi Note 9 series have been released. The Redmi Note 9 4G, Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G were unveiled at the launch event in China. These are the first devices in the Redmi Note series to get 5G connectivity. These devices will make waves in the markets where 5G network is available.

Price of new Redmi devices

The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G smartphone will be available in three new models priced at CNY 1,600. The Redmi Note 9 5G smartphone is priced at CNY 1,300. The accompanying Redmi Note 9 4G smartphone will be available in China for the CNY 1,000. The company has announced that both the phones will go on sale from December 1st. No information is yet available about the launch of these devices in the Indian market.

Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G: Features

Among the three new devices, the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G smartphone comes with a Snapdragon 750G chipset with a 5G X52 modem. The device has a 6.67-inch display with 1080p resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. It has the same display as the MI10T smartphone. This display comes with adaptive refresh support with 6 different refresh rate steps. Therefore, this display offers a refresh rate of 30Hz to 120Hz. The display also has a 240Hz touch sample rate. Gorilla Glass 5 is provided on the front and back of the device.

The base variant of the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G smartphone has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Another variant of this device comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The high end variant of the device comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. With 33W fast charging support, the smartphone comes with a 4,820 mAh battery. This fast charging technology can charge from 0% to 100% in 58 minutes.

All the cameras in the devices in the Redmi Note series are excellent. The Note 9 Pro 5G smartphone has a quad rear camera setup with a 108-megapixel isocell HM2 sensor. Other cameras with this excellent sensor include an 8-megapixel ultraviolet camera, a 2-camera macro shooter, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The device has a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.

Redmi Note 9 5G: Features

The Redmi Note 9 is a cheaper phone than the 5G Pro variant. Therefore, this device is powered by MediaTek Dimension 800U chipset. The company claims that the 800U is a chipset that runs twice as fast as the chipset on the Redmi Note 8. The storage capacity of the device has also been increased as compared to the Note 8. The device has a 6.53 inch LCD panel with Full HD + resolution. With a refresh rate of 60 Hz, this display also has Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The Redmi Note 9 5G smartphone also has a triple rear camera setup. This camera setup has a 48 megapixel primary sensor. The device comes with an 8-megapixel ultraviolet camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The company has provided a 13-megapixel camera in this device for selfies and video calls. The phone has a 5,000 mAh battery. The device also has 18W fast charging support.

Redmi Note 9 4G: Features

The Note 9 4G is the cheapest smartphone among the new devices launched by Redmi. With up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, the device is powered by a Snapdragon 662 chipset. The device also has up to 4GB of RAM. The smartphone has a 6.53 inch LCD display. It comes with Full HD + resolution and 120 Hz Touch sample rate support. The smartphone also has a 60 Hz refresh rate.
